Roy Johnson has been selected by his peers to serve as Noblesville Common Council president for 2013.

“I think we’ve got some really interesting challenges ahead of us this year,” he said. “There are some things coming here that have the potential for being very, very good for the city.”

Johnson previously served as council president in 2010.

‘I’m flattered they chose me to lead again,” he said. “We’re here to do the people’s business and what’s best for the city.”

In addition to his role as president, Johnson will serve on the Community Vision, budget/finance and building/land acquisition committees and be the chairman of the roads/traffic/engineering committee. He will also be the department liaison for the city’s administration/legal, clerk-treasurer and engineering departments.
